Legacy and Elegance: The 12,000-Year Journey of Jewellery

Within the scope of the theme "Museums Unite a Divided World" determined by ICOM for this year's "International Museum Day"; The opening ceremony of the exhibition "Loyalty in the Hand, Elegance in the Eye: The 12,000-Year-Old Story of Jewelry Art" was held by our General Directorate, with the aim of depicting the cultural, social, geographical similarities or differences between civilizations through jewellery, on 18 May 2026, with the attendance of our Deputy Minister, Mr. Gökhan YAZGI.

The exhibition brings together works from the collections of 60 different museums across Türkiye; The selection, consisting of a total of 550 pieces, 276 of which are exhibited for the first time, is presented to our visitors between 18 May 2026 and 01 September 2026.
