Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center

Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center is located in Çanakkale Province, Eceabat District, Kabatape Locality. It was designed in order to remember the Dardanelles Wars, where unprecedented heroic stories were experienced in Türkiye, to convey the spirit of Çanakkale to the new generations, and to contribute to the development of this spirit. Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center is the most effective war museum where the Battles of Çanakkale are told both chronologically and thematically. The museum building was completely left under the ground in order to create the perception of martyrdom. The two monumental walls extending at the entrance of the building symbolize the Asian and European shores of the Dardanelles Strait. The fact that the walls are light and dark in color symbolizes the themes of war and peace. The three columns located at the head of the dark wall represent the faith, courage, and love of the Turkish soldier for his homeland. The simplicity of the wall surfaces is explained as the silence and loneliness of death.

In 11 different animation rooms, some of which have moving platforms, important sections of the Çanakkale Wars are conveyed to the visitor with a 65-minute cine-vision. Also for foreign visitors headphones in 7 different languages (English, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Italian, and Arabic) lecture is held.

In the exhibition halls consisting of two floors, all aspects of the war are explained to visitors with the support of surreal mannequins, as well as dioramas and mock-ups. There are real trenches and military vehicles in the open landscape areas of the museum, where war objects, uniforms, and equipment are exhibited, each with a separate story reflecting the war period.

The most interesting work in the museum display is the bloody uniform of Captain Eşref Efendi, who reached the rank of martyrdom during the Battle of Dardanelles. The patient's referral note is attached to his jacket at the hospital where he was brought injured and his epaulets donated by his family are exhibited together with the photograph of our martyr. The diorama area, where the bayonet attack is portrayed, attracts the attention of the visitors, as well as the showcase where the surreal sculptures and personal belongings of Mustafa Kemal Bey (Atatürk), who rose to the rank of Colonel during the Çanakkale Wars, are portrayed.
