Memory 15 July Museum opened its doors to visitors with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the third anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt in order to pass on the epic of July 15 to future generations and to create a common memory. It was shaped at the Museum Workshop held on January 7, 2017, by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and the 15 July Association. Memory July 15 was realized with the will of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, curated by Architect Hilmi Senalp, based on the ideas that emerged after the workshop. It continues its activities as a unit affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Together with July 15, the Memory of the coups, colonies, and colonies in Türkiye and the world, July 15 also offers visitors a narrative about the history of military guardianship and colonialism. The memory that has attracted great attention in a short time is July 15, 6 days a week, waiting for Istanbulites and everyone who falls on the way to Istanbul.
