It forms a whole with its grove on a sloping land dominating the pier in Eskihisar District of Gebze District of Kocaeli Province. The two-storey building, whose plans were drawn by Osman Hamdi Bey, was built in 1884 by Osman Hamdi Bey (1842-1910), the first Turkish Museologist and Painter, in Gebze, Eskihisar, along with his painting house, boathouse and outbuilding. This mansion, where Osman Hamdi Bey spent the summer months for 26 years and painted his most beautiful paintings, was allocated to the headquarters commander during the First World War. İsmet İnönü stayed here for a few days on his way to the War of Independence and visited the mansion in 1933. The wooden upper floor of the painting studio was burned in 1945, the grove and the buildings were registered in 1966, after the restoration, it was opened to visitors as Osman Hamdi Bey Museum in 1987.Osman Hamdi Bey pavilion , Painting House, Boathouse and its outbuildings reflect the characteristics of which it was built. In addition, the flower pictures on the wooden door wings on the ground floor of the Osman Hamdi Bey pavilion were drawn by Osman Hamdi Bey and the paintings are considered to be worth it.

Osman Hamdi Bey pavilion , Painting House, Boathouse and outbuilding sections were allocated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2021, and it is planned to be opened to visitors after the necessary restoration and exhibition-arrangement applications are completed.
